Sign in after receiving an 'ID is not yet taken' error
On a rare occasion you may see the “ID is not yet taken” error when signing in with an established Yahoo ID. You should be able to access your account shortly, but there are a few things you can try to fix to issue faster.
- Make sure the ID is correct without any spaces
- Try signing in from the primary login page or Yahoo Mail
- Try signing in from a different computer or mobile device
- Clearing your browser’s cookies may resolve the problem
