Fix mobile sign-in problems

Password checklist

Check these common password-related scenarios first.

Recent password change

If you've recently changed your password, make sure you update it on your mobile device too.

Automatic capitalization

Make sure your device isn't automatically capitalizing the first letter of your Yahoo ID or password if that's not how it should be entered.

Password has special characters

Some devices have problems entering special characters. Try signing in using a desktop computer, then change your password.

Second sign-in verification

If you're using second sign-in verification, you'll need to use an app password to access Yahoo Mail on your device. Learn about app passwords.

Check with your phone's support documentation for instructions, then try signing in again.

Reboot your device
